BABIES IN NANCHANG

Ni Hao from Nanchang!!! We arrived yesterday around 2. Originally the families were told that they were getting their babies the morning after they got here. Well, did they get a surprise!!! Echo, our guide, informed them on the bus that their babies were coming LATER THAT DAY.....as in A FEW HOURS. The families were extatic. I'll just cut to the chase here.......seeing two families united with their babies that they have been waiting for for almost 4 years was an amazing experience. That one moment made aaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the work we do completely worth it. The babies did well....they didn't cry until the families got them up to the room. There were 2 babies presented at that time, and then we had another fmaily coming in later, around 10:30, and the orphanage was going to bring their baby over then. However, the last flight was delayed, and the family didn't get her til midnight, after traveling for over 40 hours. Our guide called the orphanage to ask them to bring the baby over in the morning, and they insisted on bringining the baby over at midnight!!!! Though, the family had waited this long for her, they didn't mind one bit. We got to experience one more 'gotcha day.' The experience was incredible.

Aside from babies babies babies, our hotel (The Galactic Peace) is beyond incredible. Gorgeous, 5 star, resort hotel. The folks in Nanchang really know how to live it up!! Elena and I are only here for the day, and then we fly to Guangzhou on Tuesday morning, so we have to do some exploring in Nanchang today!!!
